Durable SCA Support
Every minute counts in an emergency and the rugged, lightweight HeartStart FRx AED is designed with first responders in mind. The defibrillator can withstand rough handling, extreme temperatures, and drops from 1.2 m (4 ft), making it ideal for treating a suspected sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) on the field with athletes, on the scene with law enforcement, or in the workplace with employees. The FRx AED with Carry Case features a unit with intuitive voice instructions, a battery with a 4-year standby life, one set of SMART Pads II, and a quick reference guide and other instructional materials.
Patented Technology
The FRx AED features an easy setup with innovative voice commands paced to the user’s actions and visual icons for real-time guidance through suspected SCA. It simplifies pad placement and uses audio cues for the appropriate number, rate, and depth of chest compressions. A patented Quick Shock feature allows the defibrillator to deliver a shock typically within 8 seconds after CPR, which has been said to help improve survival.
Simplified Care and Maintenance
The AED unit is available with pre-connected SMART Pads II that can be used for both adults and children. The HeartStart defibrillator provides additional CPR instructions for infants and children under 25 kg (55 lb) or 0-8 years old. The optional Infant/Child Key can be inserted into the device to adjust instruction and therapy, eliminating the need for additional infant/child pads. Once in use, the easy-to-maintain FRx performs a series of automatic self-tests, daily, weekly, and monthly to check pad readiness and verify the functionality of circuits and systems.
